When a true pacifist timeline is completed and flowey catches everyone after toriel ends the fight with asgore, flowey leaves papyrus and offers for him to join him to conquer the surface, on a rare occasion, papyrus accepts and the player is forced to reset back to the start of the game.
what happens in the timeline itself is papyrus becomes KING papyrus, and brings sans back after a long time (you will have to ask sans yourself what exactly happens, and, youll need to be persistent) in this timeline, pap lets sans rule with him
